5'1 Hayden looks flawless in this Burberry trench.
For many PFs out there, you're not suffering with -40 degree windchills like some of us in Winnipeg. You can wear a trench if you dare (I try) but it's not always possible. You'd have to add layer after layer - which would add more bulk - just to keep warm in the bone-chilling temperatures.
I write about the trench because spring is right around the corner (I can feel it!) and there's nothing better than a form-fitting trench to welcome the new season. Of course, it's always important to pay attention to length when you're a PF - but it's a great way to accentuate the waist with its attached belt.
It's also a nice way to add a little flair to an outfit, especially with a scarf, or purse, that contrasts.

Here are a few trenches to consider for the spring. I especially like Hayden's classic trench. Where's your favorite place to pick up this timeless piece? We'd love to know.
PS - I know Katie Holmes isn't a PF - but this trench looks amazing on her. I've got to note, because she's tall she can really pull off the skirted bottom but that might be tough on a PF depending on the length of your coat. Again, it all comes down to tailoring, tailoring, tailoring...

3 Petites are Chatty:
I got mine at Burberry! I'm a tiny petite (4'11", 85 pounds) and the size 2 short trench fit me nicely, coming down to just above the knee. Burberry also does free alterations!
I'm shopping for a trench. I seen one at Costa Blanca that I really liked.
ooooh Burberry, I'll check it out!
