I went on Chick Advisor's Shopcrawl last Thursday and found some great petite friendly shops, and while none of them are marketed to petites specially, they sure had us in mind when they were filling up their shops. Many of them told me that they have a large client base that is asian and that's why they carry many small fitting lines. One thing is for sure, there was at least a few pieces from each store that were so good, I had to add them to my wardrobe! Here are my findings:
Girl Friday
Another must see on the Queen West Strip. Check out their fitted jackets and accessories.
Moda
I was thrilled to finally go into Moda as I've been reading about Vero Moda for months and how they are great for petite women. The store was in between shipments and the owner assured me that the smaller fitting sizes are on their way. They have great styles and great prices, just what I was expecting.
Body Blue
They're known for their denim and since that is the last thing I'm interested as the weather warms I didn't try any on. Instead I picked up a pair of gold aviators, a huge cocktail ring and Tiffany found a long gold chain necklace. They carry Mavi which is available in a 32" inseam, all other lines start at 34" inseams.

I met the owner of this boutique and her shop gal and they're super fabulous! While they're not petite (actually they're both supermodel tall) they stocked their shop full of petite friendly designers. Not only can petites shop here, but they can also feel great about their purchases as everything in the shop is made by a Canadian designer. This is one stop shopping for the best of Canadian fashion. Shop here for everything from casual to dressy, swimwear, and accessories.
Charlie
If you're someone who tends to get overwhelmed when shopping then shop at Charlie. This elegant boutique is very well organized with open space and prices that won't make your heart palpitate. I found a few items that I loved from a line called 'Lovely Girl' that seemed like they were made for me and they also carry a line called BB Dakota which is very flattering on petites.
Brazen Hussy
They have some really fun 'essentials'. I loved their tshirts with sassy sayings. They have hoodies and sweats that are unique so you don't look like you copied the look from US Weekly. They also carry cross over body suits, which are very flattering in the same ways that a wrap dress is. Not to mention casual dresses, cocktail dresses, swimwear, clubwear and more. A must see for sure!
P.S The owners are petite and are the designers of the in house line 'Brazen Hussy'.

Great comfy summer dresses that you can wear off the rack and they'll be the right length.

This is a great destination for shoes. They carry a few brands that start at size 5 or 5.5 and they always stock size 6. Also a few handbags caught my eye.
