Petite Model Isobella Jade was featured in the NY Daily News on how she has built a brand by advocating to aspiring shorter than average models on her blogs, podcast, website, how-to videos on Youtube, and her books. Like the title of the article, Isobella has found value in being short.

Huit--De paris, Avec l'amour
You all are probably tired of hearing me say that Itsy Bitsy Bra Bar aims to be an oasis for women with small busts. But the shipment I just received exemplifies what I am trying to achieve. From 30A to 36AA (and some Small B-cups as well), you will find that Huit is wonderful in using color and top-notch material to create the perfect bra for a petite woman, and not just in Black or Taupe--I have colors in Velvet, Techno Blue, Hot Red, Rubber, Bengali..etc.
Hope you are all having a wonderful start to the Spring!!

Christa get's an intern!
Hi petite readers! My name is Angela and I am Christa’s new intern. I am a recent graduate from the Advertising program at St. Clair College. Today is my first day at Petite Fashionista and I could not be more excited to finally get here. For the next three weeks I will assist Christa with anything she needs help with and I hope to give her some great new ideas for Petite Fashionista.
A little secret I want to let you in on, and Christa too, is that I am in fact not a petite. I measure in at 5’7” and a size 8 shoe. But do not write me off just yet! My whole life I have been surrounded by petites and that is why I have a great appreciation for all of you. I have seen on a day to day basis how challenging it can be dressing to fit your size. I also have learned that it seems to be the smaller people with the biggest hearts and that is why I want to help. All the petite women I know have helped me through everything and I want to return the favour and there is no better way then making you look and feel great!
Signed,
Angela

Mya to the Rescue for Petite Golfers
Nancy, a fellow reader recently emailed PF looking for help with her golfing wardrobe. Mya, West Coast editor to the rescue!
This cute skort will help you stay cool when you are playing 18 holes.
This polo sleeveless shirt is also petite.Because you are playing golf, you can get away with 'girls' active wear polo shirts. Sometimes, golf stores do carry petite sizes, but you can also get away with girls sizes.
I hope that helps.

Review of Duo Boots By a Gal with Tiny Gams

It's an embarrassing thing for me reveal, but I'll admit it...my calves are itty bitty. We're talking 11 inches around...at their widest...poor little gams.
They wanted knee high boots BADLY...but all I could find for them were those super stretchy kind that you can't for the life of you pull on or off, and looks like something that once danced around in a bad 80's heavy metal video. Being the classic girl that I am, I've been striving for something closer to the "equestrian" look, with no luck.
Then Duo Boots was having a sale, and I found a pair of boots with just that "look", in my size, with a 30cm calf width! I was skeptical that they would work, but I took the plunge anyway and braved the daunting shipping charges from the UK to the US.
The verdict: They actually fit! The 30cm calf width is perfect for my tiny calves, with or without jeans! Yay! If you have tiny calves, Duo Boots has the answer! Click here to see a full review and pictures.

Kelly Meloche, International Health Care Providers Inc.

Our model has also integrated well into the corporate world. We provide the solution to companies overburdened with soaring workmans compensation claims, long-term benefit payouts and extended employee absences. By partnering with IHP, companies benefit from the reduced costs as well as productivity generated by the well taken care of employees.
Obtaining healthcare outside of Canada is a choice. For some it is a blessing. For everyone it is an education. Quickly we are learning that heading south for care isn’t just for the affluent. It is rather the capability to shift from the waiting list to VIP (very important patient) list. We also understand that state-of-the-art medical facilities exist without out-of-this-world price tags for procedures.
Medical Tourism is here to stay. All of the ingredients are in place. Blended properly there is no limit to the number of deserving people that will be returned to the quality of life they created for themselves.

Petite models for shoe modeling-Isobella Jade's feet in Macy's NYC

Using what you do have to get ahead as a petite model can mean using your feet.
Shoe modeling is a job that many petite models do. Shorter girls typically have smaller feet. A size 6 shoe is what most shoe models are for showroom and print modeling since the sample shoes are made in a size 6.
This is a link to a current display in Macy's in NYC of myself shoe modeling for Easy Spirit shoes. The in-store display is the results of about a 6 hour shoot and on the website catalog at www.easyspirit.com you can see more photos from that day.
A Reader is Looking for Your Advice
A message from Masha to all members of Naturally Thin Petites on Petite Fashionista!
Hi Everyone!
I'm new here and I urgently need some advice on flare jeans. I love them and would like to buy a pair in dark indigo. But everything I read online warns short women against flares, because they can make you look even shorter. I'm 5'3" without heels, thin, I normally wear size 0-2. I was wondering, if I'm tall enough to wear flare jeans (not too much flare - just a little more than boot cut) with high platform heels, like 3 or 4 inches high, or should I really stay away from those?

Spring Fashion and Good friends

Here is a story of a lovely girl....
Who is thrilled that spring will be peaking its sunny little head our way any day now.
Bringing with it mini skirts, boxy blazers, nude colored hues and (Yippee!) platform shoes, oh my!!!
But most importantly, I’m thrilled with all the women I have surrounded my life with.
A mother, sister, realtor, accounted, office manager, fashion blogger, a few girls and 2 guys that love vitamins, student, buyers assistants and the list goes on. Some of these ladies are barely 5’4, but giants nonetheless in my eyes.
I honestly think with the mess of the world and our incredibly shrinking pocketbooks we need to surround our selves with lots of love, strength of others, good vitamins and laughter. And hey-- if a glass or 2 of merlot helps, then I say santé!
The strong will survive!

A Water-Repellent...Swimsuit???
Hi Everyone,
It's been a few weeks since I've blogged, as I took a few days off to go home to Trinidad for Carnival! (it was a great trip...check out my blog for pictures and details: http://www.itsybitsybrabar.blogspot.com/)
The day before I left, I was hustling trying to take care of all my last minute details, and also, hoping that a new brand I work with, HUIT, had received a shipment of swimsuits I ordered. I was very much looking forward to take one of their new (and revolutionary) swimsuits with me. Luckily, they did receive it the morning before I left!! (Don't you just love it when things work out right?)
The Chrono is water repellent!! I know, you're probably like "Hmm...does that make sense?"..I was the same way. When you test it out by dropping some water on it, the water remains in a little bubble and just stays on the surface. Everyone in Trinidad loved it!!
It's offered in 2 great colors--Royal Blue and Tangerine. And, for all the tiny ladies out there--it comes in XS AND Small. It is a great product to have and you are sure to stand out at any beach this summer with this innovative piece.

30 Days to Wealth
I just attended a life changing event called 30 Days to Wealth which was produced by my dear friend, mentor and founder of Healthy Girl.1) Read Think and Grow Rich
2) Hire a great bookkeeper (before you need one so you are in great shape from day 1.)
3) Educate yourself on the great tax benefits of a home-based business.
4) Profits are better than wages.
5) Keep your personal and business expenses separate from day 1.
6) Find a millionaire mentor.
7) Learn the difference between linear and residual income.
8) Cash Flow is the secret. Without cash, you won’t get very far and you’ll rely on debt.
9) Set annual, monthly and weekly financial goals - I set an income goal weekly.
10) Love Leverage. Learn to leverage money and people. Work smarter not harder.
