These are the clothes we planned on wearing when we were kids playing with our barbies. Ask yourself, do you think your 6 year old self would be proud of your wardrobe today?
I think we all could use a little more charm, feminine flair and polish to our wardrobes.
Her 5'4 frame is rarely seen in pants, rather choosing dresses and skirts to elongate her look and for easy flawless dressing.
Being a daughter of a fashion designer, it is not surprising for her to be so fashion forward and pulled together. Imagine having her closet?
We usually see Blair in short dresses with powerful prints that hug her petite body. She keeps the accessories to a minimum with her iconic head bands often being the centerpiece. Her head bands have big ribbons that frame her doll face perfectly. Notice that her head bands match stilettos and pumps, she definitely would have her outfits planned the night before.
While her look is classic, preppy, feminine and polished you need the brave and bold attitude to exude the confidence of this queen bee!
When it comes to makeup, Blair channels all our attention towards her lips by applying plum or red lipstick with lots of lip gloss. She puts on light eye makeup, but applies a lot of mascara and traces her lids with black eyeliner to reinforce the look.
Blair would never step outside with unwashed hair, wear an outfit that didn’t match, or buy anything “distressed” or “boho chic.” She’s not into denim at all, so if you want to dress like Blair, forget about jeans.
It finally feels like summer today on the East Coast (hurray!!)...
Petite women are often mistaken for very subdued, quiet, and "fragile"--yes, I've actually been called fragile!! BUT, I know many of us are spunky, spontaneous, and like to seize every opportunity to have fun an show that even though we are smaller, it just means we have more energy in our little bodies.

Where do you shop for quality petite fashion on a budget?
If you are petite and thin, your first instinct with shorts might be to wear longer ones to lengthen your body.
In this case, your first instinct is incorrect! Long or baggy bermuda or knee length shorts will only make you look shorter.
To make your body have a longer, leaner silhouette, reach for a pair of mid-thigh length, cuffed shorts. When choosing shoes, consider wearing wedges or heels.

I'm so excited to share with you the latest addition to my jewelry collection from Ice.com, a blue topaz silver ring.
This ring is an instant cure to a blah day! Whenever I put it on I feel instantly glamourous and carefree.
I've been wearing it with everything from my pj's, to meetings, to drinks with friends.
While I'm fairly minimalist when it comes to accessorizing, I love a statement piece and am not one for really dainty pieces.

There are more than 20 million women in America who fit into this category, which was introduced less than 20 years ago.
In a world of 6-foot tall female models, it is a little-known fact that the average American woman is 5'4", which would qualify her as a petite.
Before petites were recognized by designers as a viable group of consumers with specific fashion needs, the petite woman had to settle for styles that were unsuitable for her body dimensions, or spend much more to have her clothes custom-tailored.
While the fashion industry still has a ways to go, we need to celebrate the strides forward and support petite designers and lines that suit our style.
Today, almost every major department store, including Macy's, Nordstrom, Nieman Marcus, and Sak's has a petites department featuring styles designed for petites in special petites sizes ranging from size 2 to 14.

Allison Izu a fabulous petite denim petite with a self titled line. Sent me 2 samples from her line, plus this fun tank that I'm going to wear with pride. The first piece I tried was a denim pencil skirt. It doesn't cut off my legs and make them look stumpy, like some off-the-rack options and it give me that amazing hourglass shape!
I think I've worn this shirt 10 times in the past month, the cost per wear is very low!
I received many compliments on my designer denim, that no one could quite
place the label (which is always fun).
 Who ever thought that we could have a unique label that we can call our own?
It's great to be the main thought and not the after thought, as is the case with many lines who offer a petite selection, but we still appreciate it none the less!
