 Hi Petite Fashionistas!
Are you on a mission to find the best deals on fashion and beauty?
Well look no more! The Cheap Girl is your one stop shop for the latest fashion and beauty deals online and in-store.

Hey Ladies!
I'm starting a new kind of book club, not your typical chick lit book club- we're going to have fun as we grow together as women.
The titles that we'll choose are books on creating an abundant and happy life. We'll be creating a positive and feel good vibe with every book we read!
I encourage you to get a few ladies together to meet once a month to discuss what each of you have been learning and support each other to meet your goals..
Sounds like something you want to be involved with?
(check off The New Wealth Book Club)
Looking forward to reading and growing with you :)
xo Christa

Happy Hump Day everyone. For those of you who've worn Fleur't before, you know is one of the best feelings--like immersing yourself into soft, fluffy, comfortable, silky marshmellow :-)
Pumps will make legs appear longer, slimmer, and shapelier!
If the pumps have a pointed toe, all the better because pointed toes elongate and make us look taller.
A low cut vamp can also help make our legs appear longer.
If you're a plus-size petite, select heels that don't look too delicate or fragile. They don't need to be chunky, just shapely and well proportioned.
Take the elongation to the next level by choosing nude heels with bare legs or match your opaque tights to your shoes.
 Feel lost when you're shopping?
Here are some guidelines to help you choose petite flattering clothing:
Dresses
Wrap Dresses any wrap dress style will be flattering on petites of all sizes.
Tailored Sheath Dresses with empire waists to draw the eye to the upper part of your body and create the illusion of length.
Tops
Sleeveless Tops or small cap sleeves
V-Necks rock a basic tee with skinny jeans and boots and you'll be comfortable and confident in this elongated look (see Rachel for inspiration).
Wrap Tops figure flattering like the wrap the dress and elongating like the v neck, a true go to staple.
Three Quarter length sleeves not sure why, but this length is very becoming on us! Don't believe me? See Rachel and Reese :)
Skirts
Pleated Skirts the vertical lines from the pleats will do the trick to draw the eye up and down. Pair that skirt with opaque tights and matching pumps and you'll channel Reese's character in Monsters vs. Aliens, lol - ok, not quite :)
A-line Skirts are friendly for all shapes as they graze the hips and draw the eye up. Also, a-line skirts often have a high waist to show off the smallest part of every woman (right below the rib cage) and accentuating (or creating) the hour glass shape.
Skirts with hemlines that are a bit shorter in front works well because it allows you the benefits of a shorter hemline to create the illusion of longer legs and the comfort of a longer skirt in the back.
Pants
Straight-leg jeans for the illusion of longer legs.
Mid Rise pants to elongate your torso.
Jackets
Tailored jackets that sit above or just at the hip without being too fitted.
Styles with pinstripes or vertical texture.

Isobella Jade is known as the tiniest working model in New York City and is also an advocate for petite models. Jade has released a fashion illustrated graphic novel "Model Life: The Journey of a Pint-Size Fashion Warrior."
Long before Tyra Banks allowed itty-bitty models on America’s Next Top Model Cycle 13this fall, Isobella was advocating about being a height challenged model. Known as the go-to-girl for modeling tips, she speaks weekly on her popular podcast radio show Model Talk on Blogtalkradio.com, daily on her blog http://Petitemodelingtips.blogspot.com, and often through video guides. Isobella’s memoir Almost 5’4" is also about her experiences as a shorter-than-average model.
This Thursday in SoHo in NYC, at the "Model Life" book launch party, 5 petite models will be shoe modeling during a live photo-shoot to co-side the signing, proving height isn't everything in modeling.
Tonight on Isobella's radio show, at 9pm EST, Model Talk the petite shoe models will speak out about being petite, and striving in an industry focused on the tall, and how the shorter-than-average model can beat the odds.

Fernanda Carneiro was 1 of 3 designers that won the first Fashion Angel Emerging Designer Award sponsored by the city of Los Angeles!
With that, she was able to put on runway show featuring a 10-piece Spring 2010 collection!
The show kicked off Downtown LA Fashion Week on October 13th. Here are a few press links that you can check out:
We can look forward to new posts from the people at Fernanda Carneiro on Petite Fashionista soon!

Happy Monday Petites, Here are this week's holiday gift suggestions: Buds & Blossoms Kimono Robe ($50) is a great gift for pretty much anyone in your life from your mom's, sister's, BFFs, niece's, etc. It's charming and very comfortable and flattering on any body size!
The Eberjey Lovestruck line is great as a little gift for yourself. The red is vibrant and the lace trimming around the edges makes it stand out from a normal pj set. Availabe are the Cami ($64), the Briefs (on sale for $17.99), and the Chemise (on sale for $62)
As always, I'm here if you have questions!! V.
Hi Petite Fashionistas! My name is Romi and I'm Fernanda Carneiro's new intern. I'm new to PF but not new to petite fashion. I'm 5'4" and had a really fun time looking through all the other petites mentioned on PF. Anyways, I'm here to update on some of Fernanda's most recent activities:
In the beginning of October, LA Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa held a press conference that announced the Fashion Angel Awards Emerging Designer winners in support of LA Fashion Week and the Los Angeles Fashion Industry. The Fashion Angel Awards Emerging Designer is a contest judged by fashion notables like Nony Tochterman of Petro Zillia, Nick Verreos of Fashion Runway, Jeffrey Sebelia (winner of Season 3 Project Runway), Louis Verdad and Vanessa Gonzalez. Designer Randolph Duke presented the award. There were 3 winners, one of which was our very own Fernanda Carneiro! Each winner participated in their own fully-funded runway show in mid-October during Los Angeles Fashion Week.
Check out some of the photos and links from the press conference and runway attached to this post!!

 Best, Romi.

Happy Monday!
As many of us start stressing out about how quickly the year is flying by and with only a few weeks until we all start desperately shopping for our loved ones (or ourselves), I thought I would highlight some great bargains that would also be great gifts.
The black chemise show comes in champagne also (size small), and is on sale for $15.99.
This toffee Swarovski crystal earring is just $3.99... there are many jewelry deals on our site.
Hope this gives you some ideas for yourself or your BFFs, sisters, mothers, girlfriends, and even the teenagers in your life who would like some of the jewelry accessories or PJs.
Best, V.
