Petite Maternity Wear

Hi Ladies!

Yes, it's true I'm 12 weeks pregnant and I'm excited to be covering my wardrobe choices for the next 6 months!

I'll be writing a weekly feature on my favorite outfits as the weeks and months pass and my bump grows!

I have to admit I loved doing this research, all the great clothes make dressing your bump seem like so much fun!

TIPS
1. Check for sales on sites before you shell out bucks for outfits you’ll only wear a few times.
2. Look for pieces than can translate with an accessory change from day to evening.
3. Try wearing items from your own wardrobe (like babydoll styles) mixed with maternity pieces and even consider buying large sizes of non-maternity clothing, which at times will fit better depending on how your body changes.
4. Find what you want and check ebay to compare prices.

PF's picks at the Golden Globes: Christina Aguilera 5'2 & Ashley Olsen 5'1

Celebrity colorists were busy taking Ashley Olsen and Christina Aguilera's color to beyond blonde with bold platinum highlights for sexy, awards show sparkle.

The champagne blonde locks matched with two opposite dress hues were both very flattering. Ashley's was bold and Christina's more glamourous.

Ashley Olsen works it out at the 2010 Golden Globe Awards after party at the Beverly Hilton’s Oasis Courtyard on Sunday (January 17) in Beverly Hills.

At the soiree hosted by InStyle and Warner Bros., the 23-year-old designer wore a fashion forward Erdem dress with petal detailing.

She finished off her look with Manolo Blahnik shoes, a Fendi bag, and Chopard jewels.

Christina Aguilera strikes a pose on the red carpet at the 2010 Golden Globe Awards at The Beverly Hilton Hotel on Sunday (January 17) in Beverly Hills.

The 29-year-old songstress wore a Versace strapless peach colored chiffon gown with a metallic bodice and peach colored leather inserts.

She finished off her look with Nina Ricci jewels, a Judith Leiber clutch and Webster jewels.

Bride to be Looking for Perfect Bridesmaid Dresses

Hi Christa,

I am looking for some bridesmaid dresses... my girls are all about 5'4" and various shapes and sizes. The color I am considering is fushia dresses and lime green shoes but either color is not set in stone and I need 3 dresses for July. Any thoughts? And would you suggest SPANX or is there another better product out there?

Hi!

I recommend that you look for a convertible wrap dress in a satin jersey. This is exactly what I'll be dressing my brides maids in! This dress is versatile for all shapes, it can be more conservative or more revealing depending on the woman's style preference too. I prefer this over all together different dress because you still have the flow of the same fabric and color while pleasing everyone! Plus, who wouldn't want to buy this dress to where for many many occasions afterwards looking different every time.

Isodora Clothing is the designer I'd recommend because they are located in Canada, available for purchase online and the price is right. Also, with your bridesmaids being across Canada this dress doesn't need trying on. Everything is also custom made too, so you may request for a slightly shorter hemline if needed. Have the girls send you their measurements.

I think fushia is fun! They offer this dress is fuchsia and a rainbow of other colors. Personally though the lime green shoes might not be a great idea (unless you absolutely love it) because; they are hard to find, not very versatile afterwards, and not very flattering. To create an elongated sophisticated look on your girls I'd recommend that they choose a nude or soft gold tone heel.

As for shapers, the only make us look even better! I do like Spanx and if you can find a brand called Plie
